Stella
is a native of Hot Coffee, Mississippi, where she was married
at 15, a mother at 16 and divorced at 17. She became interested
in acting while attending Memphis State University and debuted
in 'Say One for Me" in 1959. She got noticed later that
year in "Li'l Abner" and followed that with an appearance
in Playboy as a Playmate of the Month. She went on to appear
in a string of movies with some of the best known stars of the
day, such as Bobby Darin in "Too Late Blues", Elvis
in "Girls! Girls! Girls!", Glenn Ford in "The
Courtship of Eddie's Father", Jerry Lewis in "The Nutty
Professor" and Dean Martin in "The Silencers".
After some television parts in the 60s, she went on to give us
a couple of memorable nude celluloid appearances in the 70s.
They were "The Ballad of Cable Hogue" and "Slaughter".
In the 80's she again had a nude scene in "Monster in the
Closet". She's been in lots of movies since, but none that
great and none having any meaningful nudity. |
