Maggie
was born in 1977 in Los Angeles, California. She comes from a
very talented family and is the daughter of Stephen Gyllenhaal
(actor, producer and writer) and Naomi Foner (producer and writer)
and the sister of rising actor Jake Gyllenhaal. ("Lovely
and Amazing", "The Good Girl" and "Moonlight
Mile", to name a few. After attending Columbia University
(BA in English), she studied briefly at the Royal Academy of
Dramatic Arts. Her stage experience led her to acting after graduation.
She made her debut as full-blown, star in "Secretary".
She first appeared in movies in 1992 in "Waterland"
and has quite a string of films to her credit, as well as a number
of upcoming ones. Her role in "Secretary" contained
her first nude appearance, but we certainly can hope for more. |
