Kate was
born in Berkeley, California and was raised nearby in the small
town of Orinda. As a young woman, she studied ballet, but was
so touched by 'Jessica Lang' 's performance in the film "Frances"
that she began thinking about acting. She entered the UCLA as
a dance major but soon transferred to the theater department.
Her first movie, "Leatherface: Texas Chainsaw Massacre III",
was not exactly highly acclaimed, but she had the lead role .
This led to many TV appearances on shows such as "Thirtysomething"
and "Tales From the Crypt" and in 20 episodes of the
British TV series "She-Wolf of London". She has been
more active on TV than in the movies, appearing in spots on programs
such as "Silk Stalkings", "Xena: Warrior Princess",
"Ellen", "Murder She Wrote" and "JAG".
She has shown skin on screen in only two of her 15 movies, "Desire"
and "Rapid Fire". |
