Britt
was born in Sweden where she attended a drama school and then
joined a traveling theater group. She started appearing in movies
and became a star in Italy where she met and later married Peter
Sellers. She then appeared in movies with him, such as "After
the Fox", written by Neil Simon and "The Bobo".
Her claim to fame came as the young girl who invented the strip-tease
in "The Night They Raided Minsky's", but after that,
she appeared in a string of movies that were based on her looks
and not on the script. Some of the standouts over the years were
"Get Carter", "The Wicker Man" and "The
Man with the Golden Gun". After her breakup with rocker
Rod Stewart in 1977 she continued to appear in movies, TV and
on stage, but nothing of note. She has appeared nude in "Percy",
"Get Carter", "The Wicker Man" (arguably
her best) and "Scandal". |
